Eames "The Little Toy" Playing Cards, by Art of Play

The fourth edition of Eames Playing Cards by Art of Play pays homage to "The Little Toy" - a small variation of "The Toy". In contrast to its larger predecessor, which was made for people to play β€œin,” Charles and Ray made this design for children and adults to play β€œwith.”

Originally released in 1952, The Little Toy was designed to inspire creative construction through a series of colourful panels, wireframes and connectors. For playing cards, the components were used to create a minimal numbering system where the small connectors act as edge markings for quick reference.

Eames Playing Cards come in a letterpress-printed tuck case printed on sustainable paper using vegetable-based dyes.

The design of the box references the famous home built by Charles and Ray, a creative base where they lived for many years.

Made in the USA.
