Hey! Let's Go for A Ride (Amos Anderson, 1974) poster by James Rosenquist

A completely fabulous large poster full of Rosenquistian themes, reproducing the artist's Hey! Let's Go for a Ride, 1972.  This poster was printed in 1974 for a show at the Amos Anderson Museum, Helsinki.

Together with Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein,  Rosenquist (1933-2017) is one of the greats of American Pop art. From the late 1950s, he was instrumental in establishing Pop as a movement, changing our expectations of visual art.  Rosenquist worked as a billboard painter of American adverts, which fed into his desire and ability to work on a monumental scale. In the  60s and 70s his art reflected a complex society of consumerism, technology, severe brightness and deep darkness - and peered into a complex future.

Approximate dimensions: 90.2 x 60.3 cm / 35.5 x 23.75 in.

This is an archive / vintage poster, printed in 1974,  now collectable and in short supply. Our stock of it is sold as new. Given its age the condition is very good. Please hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. We send out posters rolled in tubes.
